Tannen says that when girls talk to her female friends, they sit face to face and make a perfect eye contact. On the other hand boys, while talking to their friends, sit on angles, eyes are elsewhere. So when a man and women talks, the man’s physical position makes the women conscious as if he is not listening, but he is. (Tannen). Men always talk about different topics and they spend very little time on one. This habit is complained by women as my husband is always switching topics (Tannen) Women can talk about anything for a lot of time and also deviate from the topic, while the males are limited in this field, other than that men talk in general terms while women talks have an aspect of either positivity or negativity.
