In the documentary of Sex, Lies and Cigarettes (2012) Produced by J.Fraenkel the narrator is trying to show viewers that although cigarette companies have to obey many laws in develop nations to sell their product they really have any regulations in undeveloped ones. The narrator first begins the film in the city of New York where smoking is extremely expensive and the regulations put on by the state and city have made it hard for Tabaco industries. With the many regulations put on and advertising of the dangers of Tabaco by both the cities and states consumers of Tabaco felt. When the narrator lands in the country he is amazed to see the amount of advertising there is about smoking and how the advertising is portrait. As he travels around the city he realizes that many of the people who smoke are small kids and teens. He connects that the advertising of the Tabaco industry is target to get young kids and teens to smoke with the advertising of how smoking appeals to been cool, attractiveness, and gaining a better imagine. After he interviews people in charge of the marketing the smoking they all neglect that smoking is been advertise to the young people and that they only target the adults of the country. He also question them on the number of people who have become sick due to long term smoking and how they were never warn about the dangers of long term smoking may cause. Since there aren’t many regulations to the purchase and consumption of cigarettes many kids are able to get their hand on cigarettes for as low as five cents for just one cigarette. Although, many people don’t know about the dangers and exposed their kids to Tabaco at such young age there are activist trying to educate the people of its dangers.
