Sociology 101
Video Response One I agree that there should be more sex education around the world. There are way too many children that go malnourished and die because no one can provide for them. If there’s a way to prevent couples or even people, for that matter, from having unwanted children, they should be aware of contraceptives. There are so many people in Africa, Mexico, and Thailand that weren’t aware of contraceptives and they have unwanted children that they end up not being able to take care of. Or they end up starving themselves to provide for their off springs. These countries’ older generations are so accustomed to having large families, but some fail to realize that at these times it’s less possible. With population …show more content…
This helps women and couples space out their children and make sure they are ready to have a child. This is also an effective way to prevent young women to become pregnant and decrease health problems in the mother and child. This method is also restrains couples from having too many children; in which, helps overcrowding living places. Family planning women in the other countries continue either education. This also helps reduce the amount of abortions done to women. I was not aware of how many abortions where done in other countries because of the lack of sex ed. This is why I think countries should be taught about sexual education. They should also know about sex education for their own health; there are so many people unaware that from having sex, they are hurting their bodies with STDs. Many people are constantly dying from AIDs and I’m sure if they knew about contraceptives, more than likely half of them would not have STDs. Some people do become aware that there are chances that they could get AIDs, but at least they are not ignorant to the damage they could do to themselves. Men and women get circumcised trying to avoid having sex or getting these diseases, but still end up getting infections from the incisions not healing …show more content…
I would feel like if we tried to help them with poverty, we would them become too involved. And they would more than likely tell us to get out for being always in other country’s business. To just have people go to the developing countries and just teach multiple people how to family plan, how to not have unwanted children by using contraceptives, and how to take care of themselves so they don’t get AIDs. If we start to just do that then, it will impact the economy a bit from not overpopulating even more. We would be doing them a favor and the country probably will not realize that the U.S. is kind of helping them in poverty but not trying to take over the country with our beliefs. But we should definitely not go to Africa and feel the need to say that how the government is running the country is wrong. I feel like we’re hurting them by not helping them. Too many women die while pregnant because of malnourishment and they could avoid that by the U.S. helping. Also, if we were to just educate other countries, the AIDs rate will go down by a significant amount. If countries that are religious then don’t like what we’re trying to do, then we leave and help the next country. We just go in and if we can help, wonderful, if we can’t then we can at least say we tried. All in all, I thought this was a great film. I learned a lot and I thought
