After researching several cases with suspects of different generations and demographics it leads me to believe that sex and violence in the media has a huge effect on society. Movies and television shows that depict sex and violence also have an effect on society, however; video games get the viewer/game player involved with the story and encourage the game player to make the actions and the choices for their character. This develops a new mindset for the player and can lead to an addiction to the game. Which for some can influence or inspire them to commit crimes based on the games they are binging. Do they learn their lesson? Well this leads psychologists to create studies where they gather people from different age groups and have them play similar games for hours while they study their brain patterns and their psychological triggers. Even if stores were stricter on purchases it still wouldn 't solve the problem at home. It is up to the legal guardian to make the choice for their children and decide whether or not this game is morally acceptable. Some steps guardians could take to ensure their kids are playing what is appropriate is making sure that games that are overrated for them are locked away or place high on shelf that they cannot have access to. Another step one could take is to have a talk with the children 's caregiver or older siblings and explain the impact this game has on children who aren 't ready to play it and to also clarify the impact the game could have on them even though they are of
