He was born into a family of eight. His parents Adam and Ruth singer. And his six siblings John,Alexander, Elizabeth, Colby, Christina, Elijah. Then in 1821 His parents divorced leading him down a darker path. He ran away a year later At age 11 and joined a traveling show.
He married in 1830 to Catherine Maria Haley who he had two children with. Those children were William and Lillian. Then his wife had an affair with another man by the name of Stephen Kent. Singer then continued to have multiple affairs with several other women even having children with them while still married to catherine! Added together he had eighteen children and only sixteen survived to live a full
