Most of the people will think Severus Snape is a hero of this story because of his protection and sacrifice for Harry is the two of major causes that make Harry Potter could survive from the jeopardies. It is right, that he has many heroic characteristics, but still, he has more antiheroic characteristics than heroic, for example, cruelty and self-interest...etc which are the characteristics that hero shouldn’t have. …show more content…
But Snape is cruel to Harry Potter because of his father is the one who loathed him in school and kept bullying him in the most humiliating ways in front of the school and also married the girl he likes. So these reasons cause Snape become an alone and cruel man. For example, in book three that Snape take the point from Gryffindor just because Hermione Granger answers the werewolf question but didn’t get called by the teacher.
In addition to the Snape’s cruel manner. A hero also won’t interest and learn something bad. In the story of Harry Potter, Severus Snape is interesting in dark arts since he was a child, which is the dark magic that Harry Potter and most of the students from Hogwarts tried to against, because he is self-interest about becoming stronger and more powerful, but it cause all the people from the Hogwarts turn against him. For example, he makes a powerful spell called Sectumsempra which is from dark art which is the spell that can kill people
