Severe Scoliosis: Is It A Cause Of Stress Or Pain?

In a person’s life, it is bound to happen that stress or pain will arise. One of these instances in my life was when I was ten years old. I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis, and was told it would be a long journey to correct the problem. I did not understand what that even meant, or what I had in store because of this condition. They immediately fitted me for a back brace, a plastic white body cage that they wanted me to live in for the next few years or so to prolong when I needed surgery. It still had not fully sunk in what this meant. After I picked up the brace, I was told only to take it off to shower. As a stubborn ten year old, I would not accept that I would have to wear stretchy clothes, and walk funny for so long. I refused to
