The capital sin of lust can be detrimental to everyone's lives, especially to their relationships. Lust is to have very strong sexual desires towards someone. There is a difference between lust and love, lust is purely sexual and love has more depth. When you love someone you want what is best for them and pray that nothing will ever happen to them. Using someone to fulfill your desires is lust and is why it is one of the seven capital sins. Lust is not as bad when you are also in love with the person you lust over. For example drinking, smoking and doing drugs. Not only can these things get you in trouble with the law, but also with God. He created us in his image and likeness and said that our body is a temple. Granted he gave us freewill to decide what we want to do with it, but he never expect us to do these kinds of things to our bodies. Doing things like drinking and doing drugs is not healthy for your body, and not good for your well being. Indulging in gluttony will push you further from God and your faith.
The intense and selfish desire for something especially, wealth and power is called greed. Being greedy is the furthest thing from what Jesus would want us to be. He was the most selfless person to ever walk the earth, and he hopes we follow in his footsteps. No one likes a greedy person, it is not a good trait to have.
