Everest 1 and 2 proved that simulations enhance, develop and improve skill and performance, increasing goal achievement. As such, the key issues identified within Everest were analysed with recommendations. The compilation of goals demonstrates the concept of effective democratic leadership and the concept of path-goal theory as well as effective interpersonal communication characterised by respect and openness. In addition, the negative issue of online noise was discovered to arise from limited communication as non-verbal communication was disabled and information overload. Moreover, the lack of cohesion was characterised by inefficient leadership and the noise of lack of knowledge. Furthermore, high levels of engagement in Everest 2 resulted from effective leadership and personal interaction with members. Commissioned recommendations to address and enhance these issues include the importance of clear goal setting, critical reflection and trust generation. Thus, the Everest simulation has allowed for the analysis of key issues and enhanced knowledge that could be taken into the future
