Good Morning EDL 690: It was nice seeing you all this past Wednesday and Thursday night. If you have not finished coding your interview or narratives, that’s fine; please try to finish them up and load them in Blackboard before the end of the month.…
The Human Porch Begins: Part I of the S.T.U.C.C.O. Story arch Dust and fine rubble fell from the sky, settling like fine snow on the rocky ground. The cold Canadian air swept from the north, fanning the flames of the burning research facility into towering monsters of fire and heat. With haste, two figures raced from the building, climbing over the metal fences and retreating into the dense woods. Tired as they were, they had to run away. Run far and fast.…
Kathleen, I wanted you to know I have sought an opportunity to be more than a member with the local KADE networking group based on your feedback from my annual evaluation. I am now going to be on the education planning committee for KADE, I agreed to become a member because the committee meets after work. So the meetings will not interfere with patient care. We had are first meeting last week and it was very informative learning about the process of choosing speakers and getting continuing education credit for the multiple health care disciplines.…

Introduction For my project I visited the Flint City council to observe the process of the city meeting, there were six of my classmates present. I was the first one to arrive at the city hall. As everyone was arriving Kate Fields ward 4 introduced herself, and we identified as students from U of M Flint she shared that she is a professor at the University with a MSB program. Eric Mays from ward 1, introduced himself as well. There were about fifteen community members sitting along the wall of the room as well as my classmates and myself, total of attendance was 28 leaving maybe about five seats.…
Every kid wants to experiment when they are younger. Some of us just seem to make a massive mess when we do it. Of course our parents always tell us that we should be careful not to stain our carpets with anything, and that is where I made my mistake. I was sitting in my room bored with nothing to do. May I remind you that this is not a good thing for a seven year old to be doing.…
For assignment three, I chose to attend an open discussion mental health group meeting called Alcoholics Anonymous. It is a support group for individuals working towards recovery of alcoholism. The location of this group was downtown Birmingham at the Advent Episcopal Cathedral, 521 20th Street North. Open discussion meetings are held on the ground floor every Friday, however it is not easy to find. The door to the meeting room is hidden within the courtyard of the church and not marked by a sign.…

At our last class session, we decided to meet as a group on thursday to discuss our plans for the wooden compost bins, and to get information for how we take action on how we can make it possible for us to go through with our plans. I met Vanessa and Alyssa outside of Dudley Moorhead Hall, two hours before our class starts, and we began to find a place to sit down and talk about what we need to do. Finally, we went up to the second floor of Dudley Moorhead Hall, where the sociology office was located, and we asked the front desk about who can we talk to for going forward with our idea of the wooden compost bin. The front desk gave us a map, and pointed at the a building that we needed go to, if we wanted to talk to someone that can help us.…
When I walked into Advocate Illinois Masonic I was taken back by how massive the hospital was. I found the HIM department on the first floor and was greeted by Renee Rahimzadeh. Ms. Renee Rahimzadeh upon greeting me supplied me with my schedule for the duration of my time with Masonic. My nervousness at this time has subsided since Ms. Renee was so friendly and warm. I had my departmental tour with Ms. Rahimzadeh and she introduced me to the staff that was present at the time and at the end of the tour I was taken to Document Imaging to start my day.…
