The mission statement of the Boys and Girls Club of Big Pines is “To empower the kids of East Texas to be great” (About the Club, 2016). In addition to this statement, the organization as a whole seeks “To inspire and equip all young people, especially those that need us most, to achieve their full potential as healthy, productive, responsible caring citizens” (About the Club, 2016). Soon after watching the others complete the monkey bar, they decided to give it a try. Despite their fears, they tried the obstacle, and started off with getting through one bar at a time. The goal of Boys & Girls Clubs is: “to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school, on time, with a plan for the future.” As a Club staff with little weight behind me to support this goal, it makes me a stone’s throw away from being labeled a hypocrite when I almost didn’t graduate from high school, let alone have a plan for the future. When I think of a christen Moral life one of the first things that come to mind is the Bible. I would go on to say the morality of a true Christian would necessarily come from the Bible. It declares what is right and what is wrong for man in God's sight. This new life, as a Christian, is to be different from the common thinking of the sinful world, putting aside the former ways of life.…

Service Learning is an act of portraying goodness, as described in the the article "What We Don't Talk About When We Don't Talk About Service Learning". Giving back to the community, is showing an act of kindness for others whom might clearly deserve it in a time of need or just as well as to those who merely expected it. Through these good actions, whatever the cause may be, a chain reaction could be started. Maybe not everyone shows their gratitude by giving back what they received, for example lending a helping hand, but one way or another they react upon this gesture in an appreciative manner. Having such young souls participate in wonderful causes such as shelter homes, hospitals, and schools to name a few locations is a wonderful…
