Being a student has taught me various things forcing me to change the way I look and approach things. In particular as an individual I have learned things as a writer, student, and human while doing a class assignment. The class assignment is a service learning project that consisted of doing research, interviewing, and volunteering in a field of the students choosing. For my service learning I choose the issues of corporations entering the real estate market. The reason I decided to do my service learning on that was since I have a personal connection to it. I felt my writing assignments would be much stronger than if I were to choose something outside of my comfort zone.
