Service Learning: Article Analysis

Service learning is a great ways for students to be able to explore different career option by volunteer and get to see the different type of organizations are out there for students. The service learning article that I chose is “Gaining Experience through Service Learning”. In this article talks about the definition of service learning and what is service learning. I chose this article because it was the one that I feel that is the closer connection to my service learning experience.
In the article it mention that service learning has requirements that needs to be both combination of meeting the objective of the service learning and the community service work. In this class, we have objective that we have to meet which is picking a placement site and decide on a service learning project. I do agree that service learning is a community service work. With this service learning, I am helping the school community at Sacramento State by helping the teacher with the class and the students. Later in the semester, I will be presenting my service learning project and show the class of the steps by steps and how I came to the idea for the service learning project. During this presentation, I will be talking about what are my feelings and how this service learning affect me. I do admitted that I am learning a lot that I am starting to implement the things that I learn from the Children’s Center to my Sunday school and so far, it is going better than what I have expected. With this service learning experience will let me know if I want to work with kids in a school setting or a daycare
