At times, there were a lot of events where I could attend, but it always interfered with my classes, which really upset me. If it was not because of my classes, then it was because of work. The positive part from my experience was that I was not expected to volunteer at one place. I had options of going to different service learning opportunities. The drawback of my volunteer experience was I felt I should have done more research on the organizations I was volunteering for so I can have a better perception of what their goals and mission are. The main thing I learned from this Service-Learning class was about the organization; I had no idea they existed prior to enrolling in the class. Now I can benefit from this because I can use this organization as a resource for my future clients. I do feel I made a difference, but I did not act alone because I was part of a larger group and together we rallied to make our community a better place to live.
