America. Before I first started the Service Hours Project, I would’ve described America as land of the free and opportunity. A couple days before the Service Hours Project was due, Mr. Wetzell said something that I never would've thought of. He said that our country was made up of people volunteering. From free African-Americans joining the army, to young children helping out at their local homeless shelter, we have built the pillars for which America is to stand on. As I completed my service hours at Pug Nation Rescue L.A., and Palos Verdes Bowl, I realized I felt joyful, and contented. Although I may not have received any physical rewards, I was able to receive the utmost happiness a person could have volunteering.
