According to an article entitled, The Benefits of Motivation, the author states “The more motivated are to be successful and achieve the goals set for them, the more confidence in their own abilities will grow which as well can in turn make them even more motivated.” (“The Benefits of Motivation,” 2011) Being a servant leader, I feel as if an objective has been completed if I can change a person’s mindset from being doubtful to confident. The motivation tactics I incorporate are simple but strategic. If I see a team member struggling with a specific task or just plain seem to lack motivation, it’s my responsibility to analyze the task, redesign their methods with intentions of simplifying the task and set the motivational goal low to where that person can easily grasp then gradually increase the steps while monitoring his or her progress.
