Depression is defined as “a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and lost of interest” (Mayo Clinic). This disorder affects the way you feel, think and behave. Some symptoms of depression include difficulty concentrating and making decisions, feelings of guilt, worthlessness, hopelessness and pessimism, helplessness, irritability, loss of interest in activities once pleasurable such as sex and appetite.
