Sermon On The Mount Jesus Analysis

In Matthew 5-7 Sermon on the Mount Jesus explains, how to live a life that is dedicated to and pleasing to God, free from hypocrisy, full of love and grace, full of wisdom and discernment. His main argument is that we should turn the other cheek to those that have done wrong and evil thins to us. The reason being is that if we respond with negativity we can only cause more negativity, which causes you not only to have an impure soul but can have an effect on those around you. I agree with this argument because there will be people in your life that will show negativity toward you and seeping to their level can make you just as bad as that person. This is a lesson even a non-Christian can learn from because if you show others positivity that is what you will get back, and if you decide to seek vengeance or resent the person that has done you wrong it will only start an interpersonal war that can lead to even more problems. Especially for men because we are supposed to be the dominant sex, and it is hard to do that and still try to spread positivity without looking soft or week. Which is why Jesus tries so hard to express the seriousness of being positive because he knows it contradicts our social laws. So we must find a way to ignore our social rules and do what is best for the people around us. We should also learn from our history in regards to conflict and war and see how horribly people were and are effected and try to change that. People who know they can get irritable or angry very easily should acknowledge that and find ways to become more patient and understanding of other people. Doing this I believe the world can become a much better
