At one point Ted Bundy did discover who really was his mother, causing his mind to go into a frenzy of negative thoughts, but that was not after he had gone through another traumatic moment (Ted Bundy’s Childhood, 2007). At some point of Ted Bundy’s college life he fell in love with his love of his life; a girl with dark long hair with a slight resemblance to his mother (Biography.com Editors, n.d). However, even though Ted Bundy loved her; she did not have the same mindset. She merely thought of their relationship as nothing more than a simple college romance (“Ted Bundy’s Childhood”, 2007). For Ted Bundy experiencing two traumatic moments was enough to cause him to go through a few psychological changes. The previously stated actions seem nothing more than a product of insanity, but in reality Gein’s childhood is what caused Ed Gein to go on his spree. Ed Gein’s childhood consisted of having a very religious, power wielding mother and a non-caring drunk father. Having a father that did not care for Ed Gein, most of his teachings consisted of constant religious teachings from his mother. One of the most life changing lessons Gein was thought by his mother is that women are evil, and that premarital sex is wrong (Blanco,n.d) . It is how Ed Grin took this information is what caused him to change. During his time as a child; he was very sheltered by his mother and most of his time was spent in his house with his brother, mother and father. In his household, Gein observed and saw that it was his mother that was the one controlling everyone and everyone being dependent on her (Blanco,n.d). Through this Gein had developed the idea that women are powerful because that is all he saw in his household and human nature made him want that power (2007).
