While living in America, Francis Tumblety married a woman who he later found to be an ex-prostitute ("Francis Tumblety"). When he realized she was a prostitute, he became furious, he later divorced his wife and he would later blame his misogyny on his failed marriage. Francis Tumblety also had some medical background since he worked as a physician. This was especially evident when he was arrested for attempting to abort the pregnancy of a local prostitute on September 23, 1857 ("Francis Tumblety"). His medical knowledge could also be connected to his collection of organs, which are exclusively female organs only. He showed his collection of organs to a group of men who he had over for a dinner party. His collection of women's organs creates a direct link to the murders since almost all of the victims had organs that were removed and missing from the scene. The only victims who didn’t have any organs removed were Mary Ann Nichols and Elizabeth Stride, but Mary Ann was his first known victim so he might have been experimenting and he was interrupted before he could do anything to Elizabeth he was able to get away unnoticed. Annie Chapman’s uterus, Catherine Eddowes had her left kidney and a major part of her uterus removed, and almost all of Mary Jane Kelly’s organs were eviscerated the and her face was hacked beyond recognition, but her heart was missing. These organs that went missing might of ended up in his collection of organs, especially since his collection extends from “every class of
