A young boy from Chelsea, Massachusetts was frightened and filled with fear over the uncertainty of what events will occur every night. Stripped from the guidance of a father figure, he was repeatedly on the receiving end of a blunt pipe from a cruel parent, who viewed women as no more than a sexual object. However, one incident toppled it all off. Powerful, serial killers choose what route the victim's death will go down as, willingly lengthening the suffering to demonstrate who had complete control and ruling. A vastly populated amount of serial killers being victims of extreme isolation and defenceless from psychological abuse, dispossessed from the commodities of a faithful upbringing and a satisfactory social circle, use these fears as the incentives behind the motivation of the brutality and callousness in their forms of murder. "The FBI conducted a three-year study of 36 sexually motivated killers, including 29 serial killers, the following statistics were reported: 69 percent of killers studied reported family histories with alcohol abuse. 53 percent listed relatives with psychiatric problems. 46 percent admitted family sexual problems. 33 percent described histories of familial drug abuse."(3) The staggering percentage numbers confirm that the majority number of serial killers discover their purpose and motive through their closest household members, rejected and abandoned due to the family's poor lifestyle choices which hindered their childhood growth, developing a weak kinship and lack of affection. Filled with insecurity, serial killers repetitively prey on their victims just to conceal this terror drowning them.
