Mathematics gives you answers it provides logic and reasoning; it is the one branch of philosophy that provides us with the answers. The best swordsman would receive the best sword in Plato’s Republic you had to prove yourself and work for what you wanted. There was no favoritism or bias, because of who you knew; everyone was equal. You had to earn what you wanted. The system of the class worked because it was not a system where the top people made the most, and the bottom people made less.
