This is because, renewable diesel is currently a very strong substitution threat for biodiesel as it is as environmentally friendly as biodiesel while being able to burn with the properties of petroleum gasoline. This new product makes it very difficult for biodiesel to compete with as it has many advantages over biodiesel. Also made from UCO and renewable materials, renewable diesel can take advantage of current established vertical integrations and partnerships. Next, this action plan also transitions the company into renewable diesel production without altering operations too drastically at any stage. This way, it allows manager to ease into the new product without focusing all their attention at the project and neglecting current operations.
New Structure and Control Systems Needed
A project manager will be assigned specifically to oversee the procedure as to ensure that current operations do not lack behind during the development stages of this implementation.
