NARRATIVE
What "happens" in the selected sequence? camera moves slowly to show “Mr.Kane in 1871” written on a paper happy music playing in the background

Music (what kind: popular, classical, familiar; diegetic or extra-diegetic, i.e., on- or offscreen source; is it linked to a certain character; does it comment on the action; does it irritate, etc.) the opening uses a happy kind of music (Non-diagetic) to show the happiness of Charles when playing with his sled in the snow. as we move along the music (Non-diagetic) becomes creepier and sorrowful to express the sadness of both Charles and his mother. at the end of the sequence a high pitched sound plays when Charles rips the paper to explain that something big is going to happen
Describe any sound effects and why they are used. Sound effects (artificial or natural sound; on or off screen source; does the sound belong to the action; is there subjective sound, etc.). the sound of wind played through the beginning of the sequence when Charles was playing in the snowy weather to hide the fact that it was filmed in a studio.

Camera movement (panning shot, tracking shot: from above, below, in/out/circular; zoom in or out, slow or fast; zip pan; tilt shot; handheld shot; camera on vehicle). the pull back shot was used when Mrs kane was moving away from the window to the table.
Describe the camera angles used and what is their significance. Angle (high angle, low angle, eye-level, oblique angle, extreme angle, etc.). the main type of angle used was eye-level angle of mrs Kane and throghout out the sequence if she makes any move the camera follows her eye. for example if she sits the camera goes down and is she stands the camera goes back up to her eye level. eye level angle was also used on Charles to show his facial expression and importance.
Describe the lighting used and why it was chosen. Lighting (realistic, high contrast, high key/low key, special lighting effects, natural lighting). outside, the lighting was bright and everything looked as if it was real, but when they moved to the house natural lighting was used.
