Septimus Smith is an interesting character. His life is tragic and he always makes his wife Lucrezia worried. Septimus tries to suicideAlthough he is wired, abnormal and dramatic, he shares many same characteristics with veterans who came back from wars. The interesting point is that Septimus reminds me a fantastic movie, American Sniper, which I have seen last quarter. Septimus has lots same traits with the main character Chris Kyle who was a sniper and experienced a war in the movie. After Chris came back from the war, he started to hear and see things that were inexistent.
