The scale/test contains 27 items intending to measure various aspects of SPS/HSP. There are tests available online to take if one would be curious to see if they possibly had the HSP trait. If one were to score high enough on the test, they would probably have the trait, but since this is simply an online test it should be taken with a grain of salt. Elaine Aron began studying of the innate temperament trait of high sensitivity in 1991, her and her husband Dr. Arthur Aron, are two of the leading scientists studying the psychology of love and close relationships. Dr. Elaine Aron was also the writer for the documentary Sensitive: The Untold Story. This documentary that covers a dense amount of information, a wide range of how and where this trait shows up.
