I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was informed that a close relative had just passed away. We also thought about if we will have two funerals at one time or three separate funerals. It not easy making preparations because you also need tome to mourn. Another factor that had to be obsolete was where we would have the setting up. Would we have one setting up for every one? Would we have two setting ups?
The process seemed very long but as my family came together, we all agreed on the same thing. The outcome was to have two different setting ups. My uncle Tim’s setting up was at my grandmother’s house and his funeral was at the local military base. He was buried in my family’s cemetery, with the other veterans. His funeral was held on a Friday morning at the hour of 10:00 a.m.
We agreed to have my aunt Kelly and Raven’s funeral at the same time. The funeral home created a specially made casket so that they could be buried together. Their setting up was at my Aunt Kelly’s house and their funeral was held at my great-grandmothers’ church. The start of their funeral was 11:00 am Saturday morning, after my Uncle Tim’s funeral
