Senior Year Scholarship Essay

I am applying for this scholarship because I had the honor of receiving this scholarship my senior year of high school, and am applying in hopes of receiving the honor once again. I have been fortunate to attend some events as being the recipient of last years scholarship and I have many good things to say about each event. I envy the way the HHCA takes care of their community and how much love they have for it. I can relate to this spirit as I have been welcomed into the Otterbein and Westerville’s Community, since enrolling at Otterbein University. I have had many chances to volunteer and have taken each chance , because I love giving back to the community that I am still learning about. This has made me want to explore and look at more volunteering opportunities closer to home as well. I have attended Otterbein almost a year and am finishing up my second semester. In my first semester I finished with a 4.0 helping me to make it on to the Dean’s List. I have also just received the honor of joining Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma Honorary Society. I am pursuing a Allied Health Bachelors of Science degree, which will help lead me into grad school, which I will be attending for therapy. I am unsure of what type of therapy I am wishing to do, but I am very passionate about helping with the rehabilitation of people. I am also thinking of adding a minor or two, one to do with psychology and another to do with a concentration in counseling if possible. I am wanting a counseling minor to help me pursue another passion of mine with helping people who have been touched by suicide or have lost a loved one to suicide.
