Senior Year Research Paper

Even though there are only three years between your freshman and senior years, the change that occurs is significant. Some of the change is good and some bad. You grow up and mature and start acting like the adult you are about to become. You are treated differently and looked at differently. For the most part and for most people, the change is good. You grow up, and stop acting like a child. On the other hand, some of the changes you see in seniors is not as positive. For example, a lot of seniors get “senioritis” and become lazy. This is not good change. In general, the person you were as a freshman is a totally different person you are as a senior. One of the differences between freshmen and seniors is how they act. Freshmen are still young and don’t understand how they fit into high school. They just got out of middle school and think they can just act the same as they did in middle school. They act very immature. They act out, are disobedient and usually spend more time in the office than seniors. They haven't realized that high school is different and that it is time for them to grow up. Not all freshmen are disobedient and want to act out though. Most of them have earned respect or at least revealed what kind of person they are. Most seniors are treated like young adults and can be trusted more. They are more mature so they are treated like mature people. For instance, the school trusts seniors to leave the campus at lunch, knowing that they will come back. People are harder on them because they know they are able and old enough to handle more responsibility. Most seniors are looked up to by someone, usually younger than them.
