Senior year is not exactly what I anticipated it would be. I always figured my senior year would be a breeze, like everyone told me it would be. I was wrong. With worrying about college, my high school GPA, homework, exams, I am constantly overwhelmed. Senioritis? For me at least, it does not exist. My drive and motivation to do well in school continues; however, I feel I should be doing better with my grades considering the amount of work I put in. One bright side of this year is that I am now 18, legally an adult, but actually still a kid. Since I have turned 18, my parents have loosened their grip and are coming to terms with the fact that I am growing up. They still check up on me to see how school has been or how I feel, but they are slowly

This topic is not an unusual topic. In fact, this is a topic that will help me decide on what college I will go to and attend in my future. My topic is The Citadel military College of the South or its only other competitor Norwich University. It does not necessarily matter where I attend school because no matter where I go I will be enrolled in the ROTC program at either school. In this research paper the items that I will be talking about are things that I have learned from either being talked to about or that I have read online about the colleges.…

From the time a five-year-old steps into their first day of kindergarten till the day they graduate from college, they will hear “you are our future, our next generation, the people who will change things” from elder ones. If the next generation is our future, would that consider a senior in high school to be more valuable than a senior in college in society? If the new generation will bring more excellence, knowledge, and a different outlook to the way things are to insure a better tomorrow, the youngest would hold the most worth. In high school, seniors are the ones who rule the school, and is believed that they will be our next line of doctors who will find a cure for cancer or save our planet from global warming.…

In the Spring of last year, it was my Junior year, one of the most critical years in high school. It’s the year that colleges look at the most, also it was the year that I was in some of the most challenging classes. Mostly honors, a lot of homework, and tests to go along with it. Studying would take me until late at night, and even on weekends, all day long. When it’s the end of the term everyone checks their grades for their report cards, and progress reports.…

Administrators require unnecessary information for students to learn which causes stress, headaches, and sleepless nights. The side effects of all of the unnecessary knowledge results in health complications.…

Bonfires, punch bowls, food fights- these are just some of the ideas that flaunt my mind when I think of high school, and I don't think i'm alone in saying that we all envisioned the fanciful hallways decked with school regalia, just like Disney channel led us to believe. Only upon entering ninth grade did we all discover our idealistic, American high school to be but a dream and to only appear in movies. Are these ideas that impossible? Has school spirit become a relic of the past or did ever even happen? Upon being apart of a simulated press conference, individuals featuring the BOE members, special needs teachers, and various others, discussed what we, as students can approve upon in our school.…
