Senior Project Reflection

Throughout working on this project, I have learned a huge amount of new information that I didn’t think that I would learn. I can honestly say that I am glad that I chose such a broad subject for my senior project because it allowed me to learn all kinds of different things from different aspects of the subject. Through picking what my actual project is about, writing my research paper, to creating a product and to writing this letter now, this project has let me learn new things that I will be able to teach others about. When beginning this project, being a new concept, I was worried that it would be very difficult and stressful. Given the time that we have had, I was able to spread out all the work and get each aspect of the project finished one-by-one in a non stressful manner. While working on the project, I constantly wanted to change my subject to something different. I felt at the time that the subject I chose was something I truly wasn’t as interested in as I thought I was. I thought about changing it to flipping a house, interior design, climbing a mountain, basically the complete opposite of the topic I chose. …show more content…
Since I chose more of a research topic, it was quite difficult for me to figure out what I would do other than writing a detailed research paper. I ended up creating a small website in which I applied the knowledge I have acquired from researching. The website includes a timeline that includes the big transformations and changes in psychological treatments throughout many years. I felt that this was the best and most simple way to showcase the things I have learned from researching for the project. I learned about how intelligent humans are and how we have changed the world from a naive planet to an extremely advanced world of technology. This project has made me appreciate how truly amazing the transformations of mental treatments have

The idea behind my project is to show how the aphorisms were always running through Morrie's mind. I drew a silhouette of Morrie and filled it with aphorisms that stood out to me. I did this to show that Morrie, himself, came up with these aphorisms, and not someone else. Morrie used the aphorisms to teach and get a point across in a way that is easy to understand. My project is another tool to help get Morrie's many messages read.…

In January 2016, 637,067 homeless citizens were accounted for in the US. Out of those 637,067, 4,000 were accounted for in Virginia. Homelessness in Virginia has gone up 4.2% in the last three years. Aren’t those facts just a bit unsettling? When I heard we had to a Capstone Project, I knew homelessness in VA had to be incorporated into my project.…

Over the course of Dramatic Literature, we read and explored many important issues through literature. A moment that I found particularly powerful is when we read The Laramie Project and created interviews on the truth in drama through the production of our own documentary theater. My group conducted an interview on the question: is it okay for guys to sleep around, but not girls? In conducting the interview, the responses we got were overall the same. Many of the people we interviewed responded that it’s not okay for guys to sleep around, but not girls.…

Just how has biopsychosocial psychiatric rehabilitation changed throughout the years? That question has been asked by numerous students and experts. The first major way that biopsychosocial psychiatric rehabilitation has changed is how it has been taught in schools (Hampton & Olney, 2008). Now with that being said, we can now look at how biopsychosocial psychiatric rehabilitation is being taught to our students (Hampton & Olney, 2008). As the senior project comes to an end, I am truly excited about the benefit my influence has had on the community. My senior project was just another step to the legacy that I have implemented in Warren County. Thinking back to freshman year, senior project seemed so boring and far away. I never would have imagined the progress and success I've had with my senior project. My interest has stayed the same but I wouldn't think that I would have County Commissioners and a House of Representative present at my event.…

Hello and Welcome, Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to learn about me and my Senior Project. Senior Project is a year long project of our choosing. In the beginning of the year we are presented with the idea that we can pick any project we want as long as follows four main guidelines. We were told that our projects had to stretch our learning and had to be something new to us, the project had to be interesting enough to us to keep our attention, we had to spend a minimum of 30 hours on it, and we had to find an expert in that field to guide us. After weeks of thinking about it I finally landed on knitting.…

Reflection When signing up to take the Final Project Course this fall I was extremely nervous and not excited to start. Walking into the first day of class and learning more about what the final project would entail, I did feel slightly better but still scared that it was going to be too overwhelming and hard to complete by myself. Luckily, the individual meetings and emails with my professor made everything much more clear and inviting. These final project meetings were very helpful in terms of receiving constructive criticism and then going back home to make changes to the paper.…

The grow your skills and to gain a better understanding of yourself as a teacher, reflection is essential. Reflection allows teachers, to look back at lessons, weeks, terms or even years and view what went right and what went wrong thus allowing teachers to start to think critically about what is best for them moving forward. Reflection is crucial to the success of a student teacher, as without it they will struggle to grow, recognise their mistakes and adjust their methods in the future. When reflecting on my own placement and in particular on the above lesson, I have learnt a lot about myself and what I need to do to become a quality teacher.…
