Scenario One We live in a dynamic, ever changing world. People start strong, but dwindle after the newness wears off. Where does their passion go? What stops motivating them? For this assignment I have chosen scenario one. Let’s examine the absence of vision, mission and values presented, identify the family systems and organizational characteristics in the conflict, as well as developing a strategy for guiding the congregation through this situation. In this scenario we find out that the former pastor was very well liked and remembered by what he had accomplished while he was their senior pastor. This is a very delicate situation that needs to be handled with the utmost respect. I have learned throughout my studies that during the first …show more content…
They could do a series of events such as silent auctions, or dinners, and fundraisers. The silent auctions would require the community to show its support to the church’s mission of running the Day Care Ministry. Dinners could be served to invite parents and potential new parents to come and explore the facilities. The church needs to reevaluate its relationships it has within the community. Word of mouth can affect the church’s ministry tremendously. We need to communicate with each other and develop a common interest. We need to put the needs of others first. We must have teachers who are willing to go above and beyond to make everyone feel like part of Brownstone Church’s family. Another idea would be to re-staff the Day Care Ministry with some new personnel. This would provide fresh ideas and new potential children. However, with this situation, the teachers and directors that you would choose to step down would potentially decide to leave the church. Brownstone Church seems like a close knit family. Like I said earlier, we see that there are still family ties between the church and with the previous pastor.
