Senior Interview This paper will discuss an interview that was conducted for the requirements of Nursing Services with older adults. The interview focuses on the life development of S.M a 70 year old that considers himself a healthy older man who has had a life of numerous blessings. The initials of the client will be used in order to maintain his privacy. It will also examine the patient’s personal thoughts on what health means, his hopes, desires, and needs. Scholarly research will be used to compare the general elderly population with the client’s information.

He desires, their forgiveness because he left them at a young age in his first divorce and in his second marriage, he was not close to his daughter because he lived in another country due to his business demands. He wants to explain his family that he regrets drinking alcohol and that he wished he would have been there for them during their school performances, games, and troubles. He feels that he does not need any material items because he worked hard to be able to live comfortably, but has lost relationships with his …show more content…
Although he made various mistakes, he was blessed with a variety of businesses and a healthy life. He has devoted his life to the Lord and believes that he will sustain him. One of the bible verses that he mentioned during the interview was, Isaiah 46:4 NKJV “Even to your old age I will be the same. And even to your graying years I will bear you. I have done it, and I will carry you; And I will bear you and I will deliver you”. It was inspirational to see that at some point in his life he believed that money and materialistic items were his blessings, however, S.M now believes that God has given him a healthy and blissful
