1. Joseph McCarthy gives this speech after World War 2 and during the time of Cold war, so he is pointing out the issues the United States was facing at that time. He said that although the war has came to an end, but still there is no peace in country because of Cold war.
2. According to my understanding; another important point of this document is the McCarthy’s personal opinion under which he says that State Department which is the most important department of United State government is infested by Communists. Through this personal opinion, McCarthy is criticizing the all members of State Department. He also point out many individuals like along with their names about whom, McCarthy think that they are supporting the communism and reshaping the American foreign policy.
3. The third important point is that McCarthy saw the risk of what could happen when individuals restrict the representing body and revolt. For both of these men, the danger of the communist revolutionaries should have been be stifled as quickly as time permits. Furthermore author is giving a hope to the audience and saying that American public has not loss the moral values and American will recover all issues
