Based on the presumption that the team will be a summer league ball club, and a member of a conference like the Coastal Plain League, the “Cape Fear Shiners” would be located in the middle of two current eastern conference members, the Holly Springs Salamanders and the Fayetteville Swampdogs. This optimal location makes for the perfect stop, here at Jim Perry Stadium for interleague play. The area's only competition that could affect ticket sales is the Campbell University’s baseball team and they do not play during the same times so scheduling conflicts should not be a problem. Having a team in this competitive league could be the first step to potentially bringing a minor league team to one of the fastest growing counties in the state.…

The years under James Billie's direction have seen the Seminole Tribe of Florida mature both politically and financially. The addition of two new reservations (Tampa and Immokalee) brought Seminole federal trust holdings in Florida to more than 90,000 acres. The opening of a new hotel (Sheraton Tampa East), entry into the lucrative citrus market, opening of the new Ahfachkee Indian School, development of the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and Kissimmee-Billie Swamp Safari tourist attraction and the expansion of the profitable smoke shops and gaming enterprises have brought the Seminoles closer to their stated goal of self-reliance. In 1992, The Tribe collected a settlement on the land claim it had filed in 1947.…

As a member of the Executive team, I feel it is necessary to inform you of the issues I have recently become aware of regarding the Roanoke branch. In the past several months, we have had an Art Director and an Account Executive resign from the company, along with a threat of three Graphic Designers and four Copywriters following suit. As I understand, the morale of the Roanoke employees has significantly decreased recently due to having to work overtime with little, or no notice, and without any compensation. In addition, there are also reports of management rejecting or reworking creative efforts of the Roanoke staff without feedback or consultation, which has contributed to the decrease in morale of the employees. Consequently, these issues…
I chose the Pensacola Naval Air Station, Pensacola Florida because that is the site in which the majority of my family lives and works on. This station is home of Aviation Schools, Air Technical Training, Marine Aviation Training, and the Blue Angels. This station was placed on the National Priorities List in 1989 due to the contaminated surface and ground water, soil and sediments. This contamination dates back to before World War 2 where there weren’t any regulatory guidance on dumping waste whether it is chemical or otherwise.…

To persuade United States Congress, is a daunting task. Not only does the petitioner need majority support from the populous, they need to present valid points and rebut objections with facts. In the 1800’s this task would be difficult for common folk and impossible for those in the wrong social class. The Cherokee Nation made a valiant effort in 1829 to defy these odds. Their petition to Congress was noble, contained valid facts and objections, and received support of many transcending figures.…

On November 21 1980 the 26 story MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada was occupied by approximately 5000 people when a tragic fire broke out in the restaurant known as “The Deli” as a result of a ground fault in the wall killing 85 people. A major contributor to the deaths was combustible furnishings, interior finishes, foam padding and moldings, air supply, and a very large undivided area that allowed for rapid fire spread and heavy smoke. Construction of the hotel and casino began in 1972 and was opened in December 1973. With approximately two million square feet of area only partial fire sprinkler protection was installed in the arcade, showrooms and convention areas on the ground level only.
