Thinking back on semester 1, what are the two most important things you learned? Talk about those. What are specific things you did that helped you learn those things?
In this class, two of the most important things I learned are communication and higher order thinking. The build your own house unit, was a different project that normally I wouldn’t do in any of my other classes. Throughout the project we encountered obstacles such as all the calculations, however, my group and I used our problem solving skills and a higher order of thinking to fix and resolve the Issues by dividing the work and having our paper neatly laid out with everything labeled. When working with the architects and realtors, I learned to work and communicate with other adults and listen to their suggestions and feedback as it was beneficial to us in creating a better final

What specific things will you focus on?
This semester's I want to focus on learning new math skills such as algebra and statistics. I would like to overall develop and improve my general ability to solve real world problems and to have a deep understanding of the math concepts the go along with the projects. One of my goals would be to continue to work on my weaker 21st century skill such as my flexibility and leadership skills.

We’ve covered geometry topics, matrices, and probability in semester 1. What other topics would be of interest to you? Do you have a project idea that would tie math into another one of your classes?

I am really open to any new project ideas that present realistic application of the math concepts. A project regarding applied statistics would be most beneficial to me. For second semester, I am taking personal finance which also deals with math in concepts like simple or compound interest and even managing credit

I am now half way through with Summer Session II and the transition between high school and college has been exciting, but also overwhelming. A few differences I have noticed between my high school classes and my college classes are the size difference, the diversity in students, and the faster pace. In my high school, the average number of students in each class was about 25 to 35 compared to my biggest class now at about 200 students. Additionally, the students in my class before were mainly Hispanic, but now everywhere I look I am able to see people of different cultures and that is something that is so important to me. The reason for this is that, while I did not grow up in a diverse area, I believe that growing up around different people…

I am currently a senior in the Helms School of Government at Liberty University. I found out about your Global Internship Program through Dr. Cox who teaches my Corrections class. After doing research on your website I was very impressed. Being able to practice the skills that I have learned over the years such as government relations and disaster response, while implementing my Christian worldview in serving others would be an amazing experience. I would be a great addition to your team because of my past experience with serving on mission’s trips, living in a foreign country for a year and a half, and being on Liberty University’s student leadership team.…

On May 20, 2016, my adviser and I sat down to have a discussion about the university required courses and courses that was mandatory for the Liberal Arts college. English 101 was one of the classes I chose to take my first semester because I knew I had more knowledge on writing efficient papers because of my previous AP English courses in high school. In high school, I was always told that I was an adequate writer because I knew the basic of connecting ideas that provided a clear concrete understanding. However, the only time I received an unsatisfactory score was when the information I included in my paper was unorganized. Also, another reason I chose to take English my first semester instead of my second semester was because I knew I needed…

Senior Reflection Through the last thirteen years of my life I have had my good and bad times during school. Most of the times have been good but some have been bad but I have always kept my head up and stuck it through to the end. Finally the end is near my Senior year and almost graduation time I could not be happier. I have come this far and the reward is right in front of me with that reward being my Diploma which states that I have defeated the American School System and Graduated with a higher sense of accomplishment and pride. Once you have your Diploma an employer is more likely to hire you which is a good thing because when you have a job you can do more than if you were a poor person which is most of the united states right now cause most of us are on the edge of poverty.…

As I came to college, my family and I anticipated I would be following a simple mold of a conscientious student. One that is highly focused in some limited number of long term goals. Don 't get me wrong, this only meant that I had high expectations out of my college education. For some people, this path leads them to great success. But, I slowly realized my vision of success needed to have stories from different roads and bridges, than just one simple path.…

Title Enrolling the EOF program has lighten up a path in life that would have gone completely undiscovered had I walked alone. Along the path was my introduction to college writing, a class that has improved my writing skills profoundly. At first the tasks given to us on the syllabus seemed daunting, almost insurmountable within the five-week period of the program; it seemed even more inconceivable with the class being only twice a week. However, with the guidance and instruction given to me by the professor and peers I was able to strengthen my work as a student.…

Mu Alpha Theta and my chapter have been a platform for me to network with likeminded people who are as passionate as me about the discipline of mathematics. Connecting with peers and professors has allowed me to not only learn from but also contribute to a community dedicated to academic progress and mathematical achievement. Also, involvement in my chapter has availed me opportunities to take on leadership positions, like Chapter Secretary, Vice President, and President, each of which honed my leadership skills. Organizing chapter events and meetings, participating in a community service event on campus, attending mathematics competition training sessions, and helping with recruitment efforts are just a few highlights from my chapter involvement.…

English 219 was my first college level English course, and through attending and completing all of the assignments I have learned many skills that I believe will greatly help me in my future courses in college. Next semester I am enrolled in English 220, and after having taken this course I feel substantially better about continuing on with English courses at a college level. It has helped me to become more confident in my writing skills and provided me with an excellent basis for me to continue on with next semester, and throughout the rest of my schooling experience. Throughout this class I have learned many things, but perhaps the most important is the steps to writing an essay, and the planning options.…
