Self Respect Essay

Since I was a child I have had a dream of being a successful woman. Everything in my life could take me to be an apathetic person, but I won the battle that tried to make me sink. I am a persistent person, and I do not give up the things I want easily. Second, I am happy to see how intelligent I became, even though I did not have so much financial support from my parents. The last thing I am proud of myself is related in how I became a reliable person. Therefore, those three types of achievements contributed to my self-respect. I am a persistent person. I had a dream of being a volleyball player, but my parents did not have money to pay for it. There is a club in my town that is called Paysandu. My parents always taught me the correct behavior that I need to have of being a better person. I am not talking about the commandments that we have to obey because of God, but the necessities to be good for others, and my parents showed me that daily. Honesty, kindness and integrity are worth to be learned and passed on. A proof of this is in what life could gives for you if you are a good person. For example, when I turned 18 year old, I experienced a fact that changes my thoughts about honesty. One day, a lady lost her little wallet inside the bus, and I found this object with a amount of money inside. At that time my family and I were going through a difficult money situation, but the lady could need the money more than me and my parents, and the money was not mine. So I get off the bus like 3 blocks away, and I ran a lot to find her and give her wallet back. She thanked me a lot. That day I discovered that she was a great pianist, and playing piano was one of the things I would love to do.
