• Maxim: Cast a spell on me through mirror.
For me, encouraging to myself is most important than the other people encourage me. So, I cast a spell on me in front of mirror, and encourage me to face my self.
I had thought when the others compliment me I could be accountable. Thus, I had tried to get compliment from others, but I was always thirsty even though I got lots of compliment. Thankfully, I found why I kept thirsty when I had taking a counselor class, in particular about inner child section. I realized that I was thirsty because I did not accept and compliment myself. After the class, I started to talk with myself by looking at a mirror. This is how I hold myself accountable.

How will you foresee the Future?
• Maxim: Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
I steal this maxim from Mike Figliuolo’s maxim and I add one more “Why?” in my maxim. He said, “I invite you to steal it [maxim: Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?] from me if you like” (113). As I read it, I felt the invitation is for me!
As I read Figliuilo’s book, I thought I have not really asked myself “why?” about my decision. As a senior now, I am thinking and praying about my future after graduating the seminary. I am thinking about a few options but I have not asked me “why?” I have just listened what the people who I trust advise me, and if I agree with that, I did.
One day, my boyfriend asked me my future plan after graduation. I told him, “I am thinking to continue study in Th.M or Ph.D.” And, he asked me, “why?” I replied, “I am enjoying to study theology.” He asked me again, “why?” As Figliuilo did, I was frustrated about his asking because I guessed he did not support my plan. After I read the book, One piece of paper, I learned that my future is important enough to ask my times of “why?” I am a person who believe today is important and tomorrow may not come for me. I still think this way. However, I decide to ask myself “why?” after read Figliuilo’s book. So, I hope to foresee my future through this

Gender inequality in the workplace is prevalent now and has been for hundreds of years even with the presence of laws and policies that forbid it. Kristen Schilt the author of “Just One of the Guys?” targets how natural difference schemas shape today’s workplace and reinforce gender inequality. Schilt also highlights how race, height, sex, and masculinity can benefit or hurt one's place in work world. Before understanding how natural difference schemas shape the workplace, fully understanding what a natural difference schema is necessary.…

The concept of perfection is something that cannot be reached or can be achieved because if you have nothing to redeem then you have nothing to gain. Just as a caterpillar is to a butterfly, redemption is to success. Although they may seem like opposites, they actually are very much alike because you need one to have the other. One must recognize a fault that they have suffered and learn from it to better one’s self and eventually teach it to others. The idea of redemption through failure because perfection will not help one’s worth is evident in Sir Gawain and The Green Knight by Simon Armitage and in modern day society.…

Graduation hallmarks a time of genuine but, scholastic reflection of dynamic memories, while personal goals dictate achievements, spiritual growth, and a legacy left for younger generations to follow. Shorter University fosters the opportunity to receive a Christ-centered education while allowing students to remain focused on pursuing their relationship with God. As an exuberant high-school senior, I reside with my mother, younger sister, and my troublesome pet cat, Cally, and I enjoy working part-time at Marco’s Pizza. My arduous pursuits consist of playing the clarinet, writing poetry, learning the art of the French language, and volunteering throughout the community. Apart from earning a degree in accounting at Shorter University, my personal goals, that I will accomplish by graduation, range not only - from harnessing a deeper relationship with God as I continue to fulfill his call to share the gospel - but also, to developing new, yet immutable friendships, while cultivating my greatest contribution: my desire to publish my writing to glorify God.…

I am now aware that my idea is not always the best idea, and that there can be more than one solution to a problem. As a leader I am very punctual about time constraints and working to accomplish all of my responsibilities by setting priorities. I am very good at deciphering what order to do tasks in depending on importance, time constraints, feasibility, etc. When I lead I expect that others will respect me, but I understand that this is not always the case. I expect that my followers will trust in my decisions, and that they will work as hard as they can when they have a duty to accomplish.…
