During my junior year of high school, I had almost a full schedule of strictly academic courses. One of the few that truly allowed me to indulge my creative touch was a studio art class. I have always been interested in art, and so I was happy to have the first real challenging art class in my time at school.

Due to the fact that I was using new and untrained styles and equipment, It was necessary to keep an open mind. I accomplished this by consistently trying new things, and in doing so I was able to create a range of different artistic pieces. Admittedly, some were not as well-crafted as I would have liked them to be, yet thankfully I was able to treat each failure as a learning experience and thus approve my abilities each time. It was also because of this attitude that some of my greatest regrets about the class arose. Despite my view of each project and assignment as an entertaining and informative window to new artistic realms, many of projects lacked the care that could have made them so much more. If I could do something differently, I would choose to take the class far more seriously than I
