I know, it sounds selfish, but it’s just the way I am. There are also times where I am 100% certain that I am going to be famous or that I am going to be so successful everyone will wonder how I did it. That is why I consider myself to have narcissistic behavioral traits from time to time. Someone who has narcissistic personality disorder tend to be all about his or her self. They believe they deserve everything good in the world. They also have this overwhelming urgency to occupy all the power, beauty, intelligence, and success possible. (Rathus, 2010, p.526). An example of me showing that I felt like I deserved more than anybody else was last year, when I auditioned for the school play. The director gave us all a sheet of paper that we had to fill out for the audition. Most of the questions had to do with our out of school schedule, but the last question was something different. The last question asked us, “What part do you want?” Of course, I put down the lead role, Josephine. Once my audition was over, the director looked at me and asked me why I wanted the lead role and why I think I should be offered the part. I looked at her and said, “Because I’m obviously the one best suited for the part and frankly, I like being the center of attention.” Looking back at my response, I feel as if I was being a bit too presumptuous, but it helped me get the part I wanted and I wouldn’t go back and change a
