Self-Driving Cars Have A Negative Effects On Our Society

For many years, automobiles play an important part of our lives and for the society. Most of the people, our driving capabilities illustrates mobility and freedom to go to places we desire. Yet, it is shameful how despite of all the benefits of automobiles on our society, no other innovation has caused as much harm as the automobiles. According to the World Health Organization, the automobile accidents are the fifth leading cause of the death in worldwide and in America, the road accidents are the main cause of death for the young people (Hudda et al., 2013). Most of the accidents are cause due to the inherent flaws of human and, the only way to prevent these human error accidents is if the automobiles gain ability to drive themselves. Even Though, the capitalistic companies will be benefited from removing the costs related to the drivers. The gasoline industry might suffer due to the feature of self-driving being electric. The professions such as personal injury lawyer’s earnings will be less because if self-driving can eliminates the number of accidents on the road (Boudette, 2016). The other groups who will suffer are the people who owns driving schools because there is no need to learn how to drive if the self-driving are in the market.
Clearly, the future of the automobiles industry will include the self-driving cars. But, the question arises how long will take for self-driving cars to be a reality. People might have difficulties trusting this machine more than humans but gradually they will accept the new advance changes in the society like they did the past ones. As an enthusiast, I am early waiting to try these this new development in the automobile
