Self-Directed Successful Learner Analysis

Learning Plan There are numerous attributes that create a self-directed successful learner. Motivation is a great strength of active learners, if lacking in motivation most will experience failure in accomplishing the goals they have established. Accepting responsibility and believing that you will accomplish your goals, are signs of a successful student. Furthermore placing your goals in writing with attainable targets to meet, and also generating to-do lists for each lesson helps you stay on track. I believe the main aspect of being intrinsically motivated involves being interested in whatever you are learning. There is also the fact that what you learn today will enhance your abilities in your career choice for as long as you are in the work force. In addition asking questions about the current lesson and reviewing information from previous lessons are part of being an active learner. Scheduling study time is extremely important; by setting aside that time you are telling yourself that the future is important. On the negative side, if you do not manage your time wisely, there is a chance you will fail the class. There is also the fact that you will undoubtedly lose the knowledge attained from the class which does affect your future. The second area of strength would be engaging with classmates during discussions which will further your understanding of different outlooks on the lesson or class. With online education we have access to students from all over the world; other cultures can offer many different views and values on life. On the opposite side would be not being involved with classmates and never learning anything other than what you read from the lessons. We have so many opportunities to learn of other cultures this way; I hope everyone attempts to engage with other
