Once a student believes he/she is “bad” at a particularly subject or course he/she will always be bad at that subject/course. To overcome this dilemma, you must stop thinking negatively about yourself, you must re-programme your mind with positive thoughts and images, remember what the Holy Book said, “As a man thinketh in his heart so he is”
7. Negative Reports
Most students fail to excel in school because they feed their minds with negative thoughts/reports from senior colleagues. When such students are told that a particular subject or course is hard, they accept it and only pray for an “E”. Though, it is good to hear what your senior colleagues are saying about a subject, course, and your teachers/lecturers. As far as I am concerned, that should prepare you to work harder rather than deter you from your goal of academic excellence. From my own experience, courses/subjects that are termed difficult by my senior colleagues are usually courses that I score As.

Thirty-second President of USA, Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945) once said “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. To succeed in school, you must fight against fear. You must always be courageous as a student, you can read that test book and understand it, you can pass that examination. Don’t be afraid of anything, as stated above, the only thing you should fear is fear
