Self-Centered In The Novel Phillip

During the beginning of the The novel Phillip, the main character in the novel, is best characterized as greedy or self-centered. When Timothy would try to help him he would not allow it and yell at Timothy. After Phillip realized how Rude he was, he allowed Timothy to teach him to weave a palm. While he did this, Phillip became adventurous and not as dependent and open to learn more on the island of Timothy

Later on in the novel, Phillip can be characterized as scared, while he and Timothy face a hurricane on the island and had to secure everything before they blew away.
