After attending my first lessons in management and strategy, I looked at all the course slides and article readings to start thinking about self-awareness.So what is self-awareness?I think it is a process that helps you get to know about your strengths and your weakness, your values and belief systems, your preference and your personality, and the most important part that is your ability. Then what are the benefits we can obtain from this process?Rothman(1999)suggests that increased awareness brings increased openness to other ways of thinking and a greater insight into other kinds of life experience.Just like every time I tell my friends,”try to get a job not only you like, but also you are good at”, people need to know their preferences and …show more content…

In this book, Rubin records her yearlong pursuit to figure out what phases one can take to raise happiness. Rubin 's journey is very personal, thoroughly researched, fun, easy-to-read yet full of challenges. I found it interesting to see Rubin 's process. It was also nice to see the whole process and Rubin shows and explains the amount of energy she put into this project by constantly documenting and trying to further her knowledge on different topics.…

I have always heard “keep your circle small,” but that does not mean that I cannot create new friendships and add them to my circle. I have realized that I do not have to tell my whole life story to another person just to “open up.” In order to improve on this, I will expand my comfort zone and chose to interact with more people. Instead of only listening to what other individuals say, I will make room in the conversation so that I can share my ideas also. I will work on telling myself that I am good enough so that I can feel confident when I talk about myself to others.…

Self reflection is the mental process that acquires knowledge and understanding through thoughts and experience which helps encourage self awareness. This essay focuses on assessing my objectives and how I have developed my skills from the beginning of this semester until now.
