True Colors Survey Review: My results were 8 orange, 14 gold, 11 blue, 17 green. Interestingly, I took this survey about 4 years ago and my results said I was a Blue-Orange person and for the most part the more recent results are more accurate of who I am today. Years ago, I used to be a more eccentric, outgoing, and extroverted person. Today I have matured and balanced it for the better in my opinion.…

Although, most teenagers do not want to be spotted in public with their family, I am not embarrassed when my friends see me with them. Can a silly personality test determine what career is best for you? Recently I had taken the True Colors Personality test which assesses what a person values, how they make decisions, what they like to do, and what they think of themselves. It separates people into four categories or “colors” and each one has their own description of what a person in that category is like. Some people even exhibit a combination of more than one color, but for the most part only one color will show dominance. Pre-dominantly I exhibited the traits of the color gold.…

"How it Feels to be Colored Me" is an autobiographical essay written in 1928. Zora Neale Hurston explains the changeover of growing up in the small black town of Eatonville, Florida, to the dominantly white town of Jacksonville, Florida. At the age of 13, Zora only saw white people when they traveled through the town of Eatonville which is a primarily colored town. Which does not leave enough time for her to be truly exposed to the idea of discriminating another human being based off the way they look or the color of their skin. Hurston describes how cultural identity is a part of our American history, and the racial difference between blacks and whites.…

As I mentioned I am a reserved person that I select when I will allow myself to be the center of attention and be part of the spotlight. As a result, I have concluded that I am a very passive person where I tend to stay on the sidelines and observe what might be going on. I was shocked the type of profession would best suit me. The analysis results from the various self-assessments have afforded me the opportunity to notice hidden aspects about myself. I have been able to perform contemplative and thorough self-examinations of my personality in order to determine viable methods to enrich my overall personality. It has been my experience that organizational behavior in many ways are similar to the institutionalized behaviors exhibited by those in orphanages or prisons.
