(Part 2) Self-assessment portion reviewing the feedback and learning experiences in the Teamwork and Leadership Course

1) Emotional intelligence

In this part, I will review my behaviors during the egg activity in the course with feedbacks I received from the observer.

For self-awareness, I recognized that I was a bit confused and not clear how I could manage the task. However, I knew I tended to be confused when I hear an unfamiliar instruction through the experiences in MBA program. At the same time, I was very confidence with the ability of our team. The feedback from the observer mentions that I continued to smile during the group work. It confirms that I had a confidence with our team.

I always try to involve people into the group and communicate with them as much as possible so that the group can develop a good idea. For instance, the feedback in the egg activity mentions that I always tried to listen opinions carefully. I took the action because I thought the cooperative atmosphere was important to bring active discussion in the group. Kennedy High School case and Part 1 of this paper to solve problems. I analyzed why my natural reaction and choice for the leadership are different. This is because I emphasize the importance of the environment where people can communicate freely and share their ideas for the success of the group. However, it is difficult to take active communications where the environment is disorganized. Consequently, I try to make environment more structured especially when the situation or problem is complicated. Thus, it can be said that my natural approach to people as a leader is human resource frame. However, my basic approach to solve problems is the combination of human resource frame and structural frame.

For political frame and symbolic frame, I usually did not take those frames for my leadership. I used to think that political frame and symbolic frame were opposite to my natural behavior. However, after seeing the examples of those frames in the class, I realized those frames have a big power to involve many people into a group. Furthermore, they do not necessary oppose to the approach of structural frame and human resource frame. Thus, I also would like to employ political frame and symbolic frame to take more effective
