I know what type of leader I would like to be, but I never thought about what type of leader I am now. By the time I graduate from Bethel I would except to have learned how to be a great leader not realizing that some leadership traits cannot be taught. Social Motives in the Work Setting, Indicator of Multiple Intelligences, What is Your Leadership Style, and What is Your El at Work are the four self-assessments test that I took. I learned a lot about myself taking these assessments. In the Social Motives in the Work Setting assessment, I answered twelve questions that determined my social motives. I scored a 16 in power, a 28 in achievement and affiliation as well. Even though this was an assessment that did not have a right or wrong answer …show more content…

Sports and Math have never been my favorite things so I am not surprised that I scored the lowest with these types of intelligence. Managing time as a leader is important because leaders already have overflowing schedule. How I can start working on managing my time is monitor my time and make schedules for myself. I also can set alarms to help me keep up with the time so I do not get behind. I also need to have a set schedule for myself rather than always going with the flow. To become more organized I could start off by organizing my email better. I have so many unread emails it is ridiculous. Checking my email daily and deleting unimportant messages would be a great start to become more organized. Although I feel that I hide it well I am not very confident in myself and all leaders need to be confident in themselves. I want to be confident so I am able to inspire others. If I am hard on myself and other people do not believe in me it is going to be hard to lead anybody because nobody wants to follow a person that does not believe in

Leadership Self-Assessment Leadership opportunities present themselves in many ways. Throughout my career, I have assumed leadership roles by overseeing coworkers and training new employees in the intensive care unit (ICU). My leadership style follows the democratic style because I value input from others before making decisions (Davis, 2018). Supplementing the democratic style with a results-driven approach is essential to achieve the best results. As stated by Ulrich, Zenger, and Smallwood (1999), the value of a leader should be determined by results, not only by their qualities and characteristics.…

I find that, for me, the personality element within the Right to Lead Model is the most important concept within Module 5, Adaptable Leader. Personality seems to be the most important concept within said model, and the lesson in general, because personality shapes how everything we communicate is perceived by others. This means that every other one of your leadership qualities rely on you having a positive personality in order for you to be effective. Without a well-received personality, even if you are highly skilled in your field and act as a model leader, you will be perceived poorly and everything you do will be tainted. This would cause subordinates, coworkers, and supervisors to avoid dealing with you.…
