Effective leaders conduct leadership self-assessments in order to progress towards goals (Grossman & Valiga, 2012). Whereas, in Unit 3, a self-assessment of knowledge and skills was completed with goals for improving competencies, Unit 10 requires one to look behind while also looking to what lies ahead for one’s own nursing career. This discussion will be a reflection of the degree the goals were achieved, the resource that helped achieve the goals, and in what ways the knowledge has been incorporated into practice.
