Self-Analytical Evaluation

A self-analytical evaluation:
I got started in yearbook second semester of my senior year. I’ve always been interested in website designing and I got into photoshop last year, so I thought yearbook would be a valuable class for me to take. I also took digital media my freshman year and loved learning how to edit and create different photos on the computer. I’m really interested in marketing and other designing and wanted to expand in different areas like yearbook design. I have learned a ton of new skills throughout my few months here. I learned how to use the Jostens website and how important the aesthetics of the page is. I loved being able to be creative with the pages and how we had a lot of freedom to do what we wanted to do. One of my

This is the only page I created by myself and I loved how it turned out. The purpose of this page was to highlight students with unique and interesting hobbies. I started out by making a list of students who had hobbies and then contacted them to see if they would like to be featured in the page. Majority of the students were happy to be in the page, but it was difficult to get them to finish the interview questions and send me pictures of them doing their hobbies. After I got all the interviews done, I wrote up a paragraph or two about each hobby and how the person has grown from it and why they love it. I rearranged the page to what I thought would be a better fit and easier to follow. It was more difficult than I thought because since I wasn’t very familiar with Jostens I couldn’t figure out how to change the coloring and text. Mr. Prusko was able to keep my vision for the page, but organize and change the coloring to make it look much more presentable. I loved how it turned out because it flowed together really nicely and all the pictures ended up looking great …show more content…
This page I learned a lot about the way pictures should face and how to write simple but interesting captions. I worked on this page with Maddie and we wanted people to be able to see the page and get a sense of what the ski team is about. Ski Team isn’t just about racing but being on a beautiful mountain every weekend and creating life long friends. This piece evolved a lot as we added in pictures that we had taken of Mt. Ashland and found higher quality photos of racers. The page could be further improved by making the photos lighter and editing them a bit more. Some photos are much brighter than others which contrasts them. I also think that we could have added a group photo so the entire team was shown on the mountain. Another addition would be to add pictures from State but we didn’t have enough time to rearrange the page to fit more pictures. Maddie and I rearranged this page quite a few times and I ended up moving things around to where we could both be happy about how it looked. The process was really fun because we got to interview ski team members about the season and integrate their answers into the

In regards to Chyna Little’s Grendel art project, titled “Beauty and the Beast”, my initial impression was that the booklet was well put together and very creative. I found the project to show the main purpose of the book quite well and found it to be very interesting. My initial impression of the conversation with Chyna was also well-understood and worth while. As Chyna and I conversed, she showed a great deal of interest in showing me each and every detail of the book and gave me a good reasoning for why she chose each section. Chyna was also patient with all my questions and had logical answers for each one, along with giving me her own honest opinion on her booklet with the effort placed into it and the weaknesses she felt should be explained.…

A Hero's Journey The last month of summer before my junior year started was occupied with pondering and wondering what I wanted to accomplish during the upcoming school year. Sure, junior year sounds like a blast, filled with fun memories and friends. But it also doubles as approaching the cliff of adulthood that I would hit in two short years. Every step I take my junior and senior year will be one step closer to that ledge.…

Political ad In our English class, we recently made political ads to learn about rhetorical and logical fallacies. We could choose a partner or do It by ourselves. If you chose a partner, then you would have to have more logical fallacies to show in the video. We started off by writing what we would include, the seven logical fallacies state our name at least ethos, pathos, logos and turn in a storyboard wIth it.…

What I learned from these paired reading and what I will be taking from it is to not wait to show compassion to others. The paired reading showed that if you don’t wait on showing compassion then you can change someone’s entire life with just one gesture. Maybe it is that one gesture that I could do that could impact someone else positively. If there were ever a time in which I was put in such a situation then I would be compassionate because maybe they are going through something similar to the story. Someone could be going through something that I know nothing about and if I could prevent something by just being kind, I will.…

Self-Evaluation Conducting interviews during this Field Project was an enlightening and fun experience. During the interviews with my professionals, I notice three areas where I did well, and two where I can improve. Developing rapport, implementing a good closing technique, and asking good open-ended questions were strengths in my interviews. I felt like I did a good job making the interviewees feel comfortable and ready to disclose information about their personal experiences. At the end of each interview, I gave the professionals the opportunity to provide me with any other information the thought was important.…

Four months ago I sat upon my grandparents tractor for my customary effort of maintaining their lawn. On this hot summer day I thought about my return to school and how I was going to prepare for it; at this point, senior year was just around the corner and it would be my most important and difficult year of schooling so far. For my final year of high school I wanted to do things differently as I would be preparing for college soon. I knew I had worked diligently through all my years of schooling; however, I wanted to be certain that I was distinguishable from my peers outside of the classroom and also strive to better my own attributes.…

It allowed me to show a more vulnerable side of myself and to become more comfortable with the people in my Messina. The goal of this assignment was to present a 5-minute high impact story, so we created our own high impact version of a TED talk. While watching everyone else’s presentations, I was able to engage in other’s stories. For example; I learned that Cayla is a twin, Maddie comes from a military family, Ryan is in band with his family, several people live near each other in Massachusetts, etc.…
